Publicity and the Media - We will create and upload a poster for the Missing Person. The photo will be placed on our main website and we will keep an ongoing facility for updating information as it becomes available. We will also help the families with Media contacts and Press Releases.
Emotional Support - MISS is also pleased to offer the services of our team of trained volunteers (see also Volunteer Training). Families of a Missing Person suffer a unique tragedy and many do not have the financial wherewithal to seek professional Counselling. Our volunteers can provide assistance on the emotional issues that affect family members and friends of the Missing Person. Their assistance may help individuals to find the strength to deal with and adapt to the situation.
Family Forums - We will arrange and facilitate family forums, these private meetings will provide a way to meet and network with other affected families allowing them to share stories and offer each other the tools for dealing with the trauma of having a Missing Person in their lives.
Volunteer Training – MISS is totally committed to providing full and relevant professional training for our volunteers in order to ensure that they are fully prepared to deal with the various scenarios which they are likely to encounter and are best placed to help those affected.
